31 Aug WHAT IS SHELLAC POLISH?
SHELLAC™ is essentially a hybrid of gel and traditional nail polish that’s cured and hardened with a special LED lamp so you get lasting wear and don’t have to worry about dry time. It is recommended to have a Shellac manicure redone every two weeks but most of Prive Guests gets three or more weeks out of Shellac with no chips at all and even longer on toes.
We highly recommend using Shellac polish versus your typical gel polish because they soak off 2x time faster, easier and are less damaging to the nails during soak off process. We also love Shellac because it is formulated without the major harmful chemicals that used to be in nail polish, such as formaldehyde, toluene, camphor, etc. Therefore, it is safe even for pregnant women.
